Concert bells are a type of keyboard percussion instrument made of tuned metal bars, arranged like a piano keyboard and struck with mallets. Known for their bright, bell-like tone, they are used in indoor band and orchestral settings to add sparkle and accent melodic lines. They are sometimes mounted in a case or on a stand and often mistaken for a glockenspiel, though the term “concert bells” typically refers to their indoor concert use and setup.

Concert bells aren’t just for melodies—they’re magnets for curious minds. You’ll often spot them at our instrument petting zoo, where their bright tones help spark a lifelong love of music.
