1995 Town of Wilson's 100th Anniversary
1995 – Brass ringing out in the parade, carrying tradition through the streets the old-fashioned way.

Brass instruments are a family of musical instruments that produce sound when the player’s lips vibrate against a cup- or funnel-shaped mouthpiece. This buzzing sets the column of air inside the instrument into motion, and the pitch is altered by changing lip tension, pressing valves, or moving a slide. Traditionally made of brass or other metals, these instruments range from the bright, piercing trumpet to the deep, resonant tuba. Their rich overtones and dynamic range make them vital in orchestras, concert bands, jazz ensembles, and many other musical groups.

In our band, the brass section is the powerhouse—trumpets cutting through with brilliance, trombones adding depth and swagger, and tubas grounding the harmony. They bring the energy, volume, and sparkle that keep our sound alive.
