Betty helping us re-organize 25 Years of Music

A Music Library is an organized collection of sheet music, scores, and parts that a band or musical group maintains for rehearsals and performances. It includes a variety of musical works across genres and difficulty levels, serving as a vital resource for musicians to access the materials they need to prepare and perform. Proper management of the music library ensures the band can efficiently organize repertoire, assign parts, and maintain the longevity of its music collection.

Our Community Band’s Music Library houses a diverse collection of scores and parts, keeping us ready to rehearse and perform a wide range of repertoire that enriches both musicians and audiences alike.

About the Music Librarian:

A Music Librarian organizes and maintains the band’s collection of music, making sure everything is ready for rehearsals and performances. Our Music Librarian is supported by several regular helpers—because keeping the library in top shape is truly a team effort.

The Jackson Hole Community Band is a volunteer wind ensemble founded in 1989, performing throughout the year at concerts, parades, and community events. Our ranks include musicians of all ages and backgrounds, many of whom returned to their instruments after long breaks. This post is a collaboration among band members who bring their unique voices, stories, and perspectives to celebrate our shared love of music and community.
