Before moving to Jackson in 2017, Caitlyn received her Bachelor's degree of Music and Master's degree of Education from Vanderbilt University. She joined the Jackson Hole Community Band in 2017. Since joining the organization, she joined the JHCB Board of Directors in 2019 and then became the Assistant Director in September 2023. She stepped into the Director role in 2025. In addition to the Director role, she also volunteers as the band's Equipment Manager and assists with the Music Library. When not conducting or playing it the JH Community Band, she also plays with the Idaho Falls Symphony on Bassoon and Contrabassoon.
