Jason joined the Jackson Hole Community Band as assistant conductor and saxophonist in the fall of 2007 then took the role as full time conductor and music director at the beginning of 2008. Jason has been in the Jackson Hole area since 1992 and conducts the Jazz Foundation of Jackson Hole's 20-piece Big Band. He studied saxophone at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts as well as at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where he earned a Master's Degree in music. He is a member of local favorites Jackson 6, Big Phatty and Global Review. He directed the music of "Hair," a Jackson Community Theater production in 2007. He is an active performer and teacher in the Jackson area.
