Summoned in the quiet hamlet of Trumbull, Connecticut and launched westward in 2011 by a saxophone-shaped comet, Jason Wright arrived in Jackson Hole like a jazz-fueled hurricane. Within weeks, he joined the Jackson Hole Community Band—though some say the band joined him.

He currently serves as the President of the Band, the Director of the JH Jazz Band, and the unofficial head of the “Do We Really Need That Many Cables?” committee. He also moonlights as a government tech wizard for the Town of Jackson, a position that mostly involves yelling “Did you try turning it off and on again?” in increasingly diplomatic tones.

Jason’s musical arsenal includes saxophones (all of them), Irish Flutes, guitars, and a suspiciously well-tuned kazoo. He’s performed with everyone from the Phat Bastards to The Hoff Band—once rumored to have played a flawless solo while holding a bratwurst in one hand and a pint of dunkel in the other.

He was asked to write this bio. He declined. Multiple times. This is what happens when you ignore the person who controls your metadata.
