Vice President, Librarian, Website Administrator

I started playing Flute in 5th grade and stuck with it through high school. After a brief run with the Bishop, California Community Band, life did what life does—took over. I moved to Jackson Hole in 1980 and spent the next couple of decades working, raising a family, and soaking up everything this valley offers… while my Flute quietly gathered dust in a closet.

In 2004, a fellow Scout & Little Leauge mom, Nancy Ninnemann, asked why I wasn’t in the Community Band. I laughed—then suddenly found myself at rehearsal with a dry-witted conductor, a dusty Flute, and a fingering Chart I hadn’t seen since Aqua Net was my signature scent. Playing a scale? No problem. Reading music? It actually came back way faster than I expected—muscle memory is a beautiful thing. Within a year, I added Piccolo to my arsenal (sorry, neighbors), and my collection of instruments began to grow. My husband likes to joke that he thought hunting was expensive—until I got into Woodwinds.

These days, I sit in the Piccolo chair and serve as the Band’s Vice President, Librarian, and Website Admin. I also volunteer with Music Land's Youth Orchestra. Outside of rehearsal, I’m a web designer, board member, part-time ski bum, weekend glamper, and full-time multitasker. Music feeds the soul—and this band feeds my spirit. Bonus: they haven’t kicked me out yet.
