The Lions Club Street Concert is the perfect way to kick off a full day of Independence Day celebrations in Jackson. As the morning unfolds, this lively performance fills the streets with spirited tunes and community cheer—setting the tone for a day packed with music, parades, and festive fun.

From 1997 through 2012, the Grand Teton Music Festival’s free community concert—Music in the Hole—was a cherished Fourth of July tradition, drawing crowds of 10,000 or more to the athletic fields behind Jackson Hole Elementary School. The Jackson Hole Community Band proudly opened the festivities with lively performances before enjoying the rest of the concert. For many years, the event culminated in a powerful rendition of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, complete with Wyoming National Guard howitzers. Our Fourth of July Town Square Concert was a cherished post-parade tradition—a time when the heart of Jackson came alive with the sounds of patriotic favorites and joyful melodies. Since 1989, the Jackson Hole Community Band has kicked off the Independence Day Parade with the Star-Spangled Banner and kept the spirit marching with favorites like The Stars and Stripes Forever—complete with a crowd-pleasing piccolo solo.
