Virtual Rehearsal Folders

Once you’ve attended your first rehearsal, you’ll get login access to your virtual folder—just make sure you’ve completed the New Member Form. It’s at the bottom of every page on the site or available at rehearsal from any officer.

Your folder includes:

  • Current rehearsal music
  • Listening samples
  • Rehearsal schedule
  • Event details

Why do we use them?
Music is expensive. We’ve made a big investment in professional folders and scores—some rented, some rare, and some irreplaceable. Originals stay in-house, and virtual access helps protect them.

Folders are handed out at rehearsal and match the online content. A login is required for virtual access.

Event Attire

We aim for a unified look and appreciate your effort. Please check the event logistics for full details, as each event may have specific requirements.

  • Formal:
    • Men: Black suit/tux, bow tie
    • Women: White top, black bottoms
  • Halloween: Family-friendly costume or JHCB shirt + jeans
  • Outdoor/Special Events: Polo/sweatshirt + jeans + cowboy hat

Band Shirts

We ask that everyone have both a polo shirt and sweatshirt to maintain a cohesive, professional look. If the cost is a concern, please reach out confidentially for assistance with payment plans or subsidies. If you’d like to sponsor a shirt for another member, we’d be grateful—just let us know!

  • Polo Shirt: $23.00
  • Sweat Shirt: $25.00
  • Jacket: $61.00 – Optional

Member Directory

The member directory serves several important purposes:

  • It populates the Our Members page on the website.
  • It keeps an up-to-date musician list for printed concert programs.
  • It provides a contact list for band members to connect with each other.

Important:

  • All active members with logins are automatically added to the JHCB Member Directory.
  • Contact information is private and only visible to logged-in active members.
  • Access to the directory is managed manually by the JHCB board to protect privacy.

If you haven’t completed your profile yet, please take a moment to:

  • Log in to JHCBand.org
  • Hover over your name in the upper right corner (tap on mobile)
  • Click Edit Profile
  • Review and update your contact information

Note on Guest Musicians:

  • Members must complete and return their member form to be fully included in the directory.
  • If a member does not complete the form, they may be listed as a Guest Musician in rosters, which can cause confusion and extra work for the band.
  • Please help us keep the directory accurate by submitting your info promptly.

Access is limited to active members only in the Member Directory

About Our Music Library

Our band has built an impressive collection of music over the years—from classic concert band staples to lesser-known gems. Whether you’re curious about what we’ve played or looking for new ideas, our Music Library Database is open for browsing.

What You’ll Find

You’ll find titles the band currently owns or has performed in past seasons. The database is updated regularly and includes a wide range of styles, composers, and difficulty levels. It’s a great way to get a feel for the music we enjoy—and the kinds of concerts we create.

Click the Music Library link in the menu to start exploring.

Member-Only Tools

  • Mark Favorites: While browsing the library, mark pieces you love. These favorites help guide future programming decisions.
  • Add to the Wish List: Know of a piece we don’t own but should? Add it to the Wish List so it can be considered for purchase.
  • Rate Performed Music: After concerts, once folders are returned, you’ll have the chance to rate each piece we played. Your feedback helps us fine-tune our Repertoire to better fit our band’s interests and strengths.

Why It Matters

The more members interact with the library, the more responsive our programming becomes. Your feedback shapes our sound, our Repertoire, and the kind of band we continue to grow into.

Scholarship

The Jackson Hole Community Band annually offers scholarships of up to $1,000 to graduating high school seniors who regularly attend rehearsals and performances. Eligible students support the band’s mission of promoting traditional concert band Repertoire.

College Credit

College credit may be obtained by registering for the Jackson Hole Community Band through Central Wyoming College (CWC). This “course” is offered both fall and spring semesters each year. This is a great way for high school and college students to earn extra credits towards college. Also, college graduates may earn additional continuing education credits. For further information, contact the CWC Teton Campus at 307-733-7425. Normal office hours are 10am – 5pm.

Our Equipment

From batons to bass drums, our band’s gear represents a significant investment in keeping the music alive. Our collection includes everything from music stands and mallets to Timpani and xylophones—essential tools that support rehearsals and performances throughout the year.

Because of the cost and importance of these items, equipment is not available for general loan.

Under no circumstances will Band equipment be loaned to outside groups without prior approval from our Equipment Manager and in accordance with our Equipment Policy.

Requests from pre-approved community groups must be submitted in a timely email and include a clear chain of:
— Initial request
— Formal approval
— Confirmation of equipment return

Requests will be accepted by email only. equipmentmanager@jhcband.org

Let’s keep our tools in tune and ready for the next performance!
