Best of the West Participant Instructions 2026
Hi Parade Participants,
We’re excited to have you join us for this year’s Best of the West Parade. Thank you for helping celebrate our community and making this a joyful, family-friendly event. Below are all the important details you need to know for parade day.
✅ Check-In Info

Location: Chamber Tent at Snow King Ave. & Flat Creek Dr.

Arrive between 8:00–8:30 AM to receive your lineup number and instructions from Chamber staff regarding where to line up.

Approach From: The WEST via Flat Creek Dr. Snow King Ave. will be closed at Glenwood starting at 6:00 AM.
🚸 Child Drop-Off

Drop off children at the Chamber Tent (Snow King & Flat Creek).

Volunteers will escort them to their floats.

Parents may not drive directly to the floats, as vehicle access on Snow King Avenue is restricted during lineup.
🚗 Parking

Use the west Rodeo Grounds lot for extra vehicle parking.

Only parade vehicles may enter Snow King Ave. during lineup.
🕙 Parade Schedule

Start: 10:00 AM sharp, heading north on Glenwood.

End/Exit: After South King St., entries may exit via Willow St. Drive carefully—streets will reopen shortly after.
🚯 Clean-Up Reminder

No float teardown or trash disposal at the FairGrounds.
🎁 Candy & Props

Candy is encouraged, but do not throw it from vehicles.

Have someone walk beside your float to distribute it safely to sidewalks.
💦 Water Guns & Prohibited Items

Water Guns OK—but only spray above the crowd. Do NOT spray people directly.

Not allowed: firearms, horns, sirens, balloons, fireworks, alcohol, or profanity.
🐴 Horses

Horses will be staged on the east side of the Fairgrounds and will join the lineup when it’s their turn. (View Line Up Map)
General Guidelines

Entries must be family-friendly with no political or inappropriate messages.

A $25 entry fee is required at check-in unless already paid.

Expect road closures on Glenwood and Millward Streets. Access Snow King Avenue only from the west via Flat Creek Drive, Virginian Lane, or Scott Lane.
