Music Library (inScoreOrder)
About our Music Library
Our band has built an impressive collection of music over the years—from classic concert band staples to lesser-known gems. The Music Library Database is your digital gateway to explore this collection.
✅ What You’ll Find: Titles the band currently owns or has performed in past seasons. The database is updated regularly and includes a wide range of styles, composers, and difficulty levels. It’s a great way to get a feel for the music we enjoy—and the kinds of concerts we create.
✅ Click the Music Library link under the Member Portal menu to start exploring.
✅ Member-Only Tools:
- ● Mark Favorites: While browsing, mark pieces you love. Favorites help guide future programming decisions.
- ● Add to the Wish List: Know a piece we don’t own but should? Add it to the Wish List for consideration.
- ● Rate Performed Music: After concerts, once folders are returned, rate each piece we played. Your feedback helps fine-tune our Repertoire to better fit the band’s interests and strengths.
✅ Why It Matters: The more members interact with the library, the more responsive our programming becomes. Your feedback shapes our sound, our Repertoire, and the band we continue to grow into.
Navigating charts
The Music Library tab inside inScoreOrder is your starting point for exploring our catalog. From there, you can browse titles, search specific pieces, and filter results to find what you need.
✅ Click the Music Library tab to view 50 randomly selected charts each time you visit. It’s a great way to discover pieces you might not have seen before.
✅ Use the Title Search or Catalog Number Lookup tools located in the page header to quickly find a specific Chart.
✅ You can also narrow your results using filters such as Genre, Arrangement Type, and more.
✅ These tools make it easy to explore our growing collection and see what music has shaped our performances over the years.
Virtual Folders
Keep all your rehearsal music and event details at your fingertips. You can find your folders on the main landing page of the Music Library and under the Folders tab. Everyone can see the list of available folders, but logging in gives full access to the rehearsal music and additional member resources.
✅ Each virtual folder includes:
● Current rehearsal music (requires login)
● Listening samples
● Rehearsal schedule
● Event details
● part assignments (requires login)
● RSVP Shortcuts (requires login)
● And more member-only features
✅ Physical copies remain in-house to protect rare or irreplaceable scores. The virtual folders let you practice at home and prepare without removing the originals from the rehearsal room.
✅ New members gain access after completing the New Member Form and attending a rehearsal.
Event Details
✅ Each event has a detailed page accessible from virtual folders, the events tab, and the Music Library home page. Here you’ll find:
- ● Date and time of the event (posted as soon as known, so you can RSVP well in advance)
- ● RSVPs (Section leaders with privileges can RSVP on behalf of members when necessary.)
- ● Section leader tools
- ● Option to add yourself to the Roster if attending
- ● List of music in performance order posted when the event is near.
- ● Volunteer needs and the ability to select tasks you can help with
- ● Event Logistics
✅ Once finalized, event rosters appear near the bottom of the event detail page and in the Event List tab.
