A New Haunt for our Halloween Concert

Every Halloween, the Jackson Hole Community Band likes to stir up a little trouble.

We bring out the ghosts, goblins, witches, monsters and other assorted creatures. We put on our costumes, tune up our instruments, and fill the afternoon with music that makes mountains rumble, skeletons dance and things go bump in the night.

But this year, our Halloween haunt is moving.

Walk Festival Hall is getting a face-lift.

Apparently even concert halls need a little beauty treatment now and then. While Walk is off getting remodeled and looking fabulous, we’ve packed up our musical broomsticks and headed downtown.

A Familiar Place With a New Haunt

This Halloween, we’ll be at the Center Theater at the Center for the Arts.

The Center isn’t new territory for the band. We already know our way around the stage — it’s home to our holiday and spring concerts. But this will be the first time our Halloween concert has taken over the theater, so we’re looking forward to seeing what kind of mischief we can make there.

Our Halloween concert tradition began in 2010, and it’s become a favorite afternoon for families. Kids of all ages are encouraged to dress up and come ready for some musical mischief. Our musicians will be in costume, too, because Halloween music is much more fun when everyone looks the part.

A Little Musical Monster Mash

Halloween is a funny time in Jackson Hole. You might run into an unusual family with a fondness for the macabre, hear strange noises coming from a bald mountain, or spot a monster who really should have stayed under the bed.

Keep your eyes peeled for a runaway locomotive, a beast with a softer side, and a king whose mountain seems to attract all sorts of suspicious characters. Somewhere nearby, skeletons are showing off their dance moves, witches are having a night of their own, and the shadows are beginning to sound suspiciously like a movie soundtrack.

Naturally, no Halloween gathering would be complete without a little Addams Family business. When that familiar tune comes around, you know what to do: snap those fingers and sing along!

Go ahead. We won’t judge if you know all the words.

Come in Costume!

Halloween is much more fun when everyone gets to play along, so kids of all ages are encouraged to come in costume.

Princesses, superheroes, witches, ghosts, monsters, magical creatures, favorite characters — whatever makes Halloween feel like Halloween to you.

And don’t be surprised when the musicians get into the spirit, too.

Although if you spot a musician who appears to have been transformed into something supernatural, you may want to wait until after the concert to ask questions.

They might be in character.

Then the Rest of Halloween Awaits

Our concert is timed to be a fun way to kick off Halloween without taking over the whole day.

When the music and mayhem are finished, you’ll still have time to head downtown for dinner, treats and whatever Halloween adventures come next.

Maybe you’ll go trick-or-treating.

Maybe you’ll find a warm dinner first.

Maybe you’ll do both.

We’ll leave the rest of Halloween to you.

So mark your calendar:

Saturday, October 31, 2026
3:00 PM
Center Theater at the Center for the Arts
265 South Cache, Jackson

Come in costume. Bring the kids. Bring your Halloween spirit.

We’ll bring the music.

See you at our new Halloween haunt!
